Urgent Appeal for Flood Relief Work

Phase - Providing a Bag of Essential
Items to 160 Displaced families (542 persons) in Mullaitivu District.

Dear Friends,
Thousands of families has been affected due to the heavy
rains and floods in the Northern Province. The mostly affected districts are
Mullaithivu, Kilinochchi & Mannar.
Subsequent to the request received from our volunteers of
Swami Vivekananda Educational Centre, Barathipuram East, Visuvamadu, Mullaitivu,
Ramakrishna
Mission (Ceylon Branch) has decided to provide aid to the displaced about 160
families (542 persons).
Minimum Aid targeted by way of food, sanitary items,
medicine, etc - LKR 9000 /- per family.
Total estimated minimum cost ( US$ 50 per family ) US
$ 8000/-
We earnestly appeal to the generous public to help us in
the Relief & Rehabilitation work for these people who are affected & displaced
by the recent flood.

Phase - Planning & Action Taken
1.
Requested to provide more information about the families for buy things
according to the needs of each
family.
2.
Planned to take the items to the families within 10 days.
3.
Quantity of Aid depends on the contribution of Funds we receive from the Public.
4. More Number of beneficiaries – families – will
be included when the work progress.
2nd Phase -
Aid
for the livelihood of the displaced families – will be considered.
People have lost their belonging,
Cattles, etc due to the flood.
