It was incorporated by a special Act of Parliament - Ordinance No. 8 of 1929. It is a worldwide organization, serving in various fields of human needs for more than 120 years - as service to man is service to God.

- Religious - Daily Worship, Meditation, Weekly Classes, Spiritual Retreats.

- Educational - Providing general and technical education built on an ethical and spiritual foundation., etc.
- Children Welfare - Running Children Homes, Nursery Schools & Welfare Centres.
- Free Libraries & Reading Rooms for students & public.
- Medical - Medical Camps, Medical Aids, etc.
- Relief & Rehabilitation - Welfare Programmes, Poverty Relief, Aid during Natural Calamities, etc.
