Ramakrishna Mission (Ceylon Branch) is basically a Spiritual - Religious & Charitable organization engaged in social service. It was incorporated by a special Act of Parliament - Ordinance No. 8 of 1929.  It is a worldwide organization, serving in various fields of human needs for more than 120 years - as service to man is service to God.

 Activities at a Glance  - 

1. Colombo, Batticaloa, Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mullativu & Upcountry.
2. Religious - Daily Worship, Meditation, Weekly Classes, Spiritual Retreats.
3. Cultural - Preaching, Publications, Religious Schools, Music Classes, Yoga Classes.
4. Educational - Providing general and technical education built on an ethical and spiritual foundation., etc.
5. Children Welfare - Running Children Homes, Nursery Schools & Welfare Centres.
6. Free Libraries & Reading Rooms for students & public.
