The holistic motive behind competitions is to drive
comprehensive personal, social, and collective growth rather than just securing
a single winning prize. When viewed through a holistic lens, competition shifts
from a "win-at-all-costs" mindset to a powerful vehicle for self-actualization,
community building, and systemic progress.
Community and Networking: Competitions bring together
like-minded peers, mentors, and experts, creating a fertile ground for lifelong
professional and personal networks.
Collaborative Dynamics: Team-based competitions teach the
nuances of collective leadership, division of labor, and leveraging diverse
perspectives to achieve a shared goal.
Empathy and Sportsmanship: Learning to respect opponents
and celebrate others' success fosters deep emotional intelligence and mutual
respect.

In Indian philosophy, Tantra, and yoga,
Nada, Bindu, and Kala represent the three fundamental, subtle stages of universal creation and consciousness as it transitions from the unmanifest formless state into physical manifestation.
Nada: The primordial, unmanifest sound, vibration, or dynamic energy (Shakti) from which all creation emerges.
Bindu: The concentrated point, seed, or static center of potential (Shiva) that holds the compressed energy of the universe before it expands.
Kala: The creative fraction, digit, or articulated phase that bridges sound and seed into manifested time, space, forms, and sensory experience.
Ramana Maharshi:
Talk 259. Nada, Bindu and Kala correspond to prana, mind and intellect.
Isvara is beyond nada (sound). Nada, jyoti (light), etc., are mentioned in Yoga literature.
But God is beyond these.
The circulation of blood, respiration of air, and other functions of the body are bound to produce sound. That sound is involuntary and continuous. That is nada.
is a minor medieval Sanskrit text of Hinduism attached to the Shukla Yajurveda. Classified as a Vaishnava and Mantra Upanishad, its title translates to the "Essence of the Mystical Syllable".
It focuses on the Om Namo Narayanaya mantra as the Taraka—the spiritual deliverer that helps seekers cross from the mundane world into liberation.
Core Philosophy and Structure Dialogue Format: The text opens as a conversation between Brihaspati and Yajnavalkya regarding sacred spaces like Kurukshetra and Avimukta, later continuing with Bharadvaja.
The Taraka Mantra: Explains that Om represents the Atman, Namah represents Prakriti (matter), and Narayanaya represents Parabrahman.
Sound Elements and Epics: Breaks down the components of Om (such as A, U, M, and Bindu) and creatively links them and the syllables of the mantra to deities and central characters of the Ramayana, including Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Hanuman (noted as a form of Shiva).
Meditative Fruit: Asserts that mastering this eight-syllabled (Ashtakshara) mantra yields spiritual purity and merits comparable to reciting the Gayatri mantra hundreds of thousands of times.
01.ஆரம்ப ஏற்பாடுகள் ;
02.ஓங்கார உபாசனை ;
03.சுவாசப்பயிற்சி ;
04. மானச பூசை;
நிறைவு;
is a phrase that Swami Vivekānanda used frequently,
quoting from the Svétashwatara Upanishad
Hear ye, children of immortal bliss. even ye that resides in Higher spheres! I have found the Ancient One, blazing like the sun, beyond all darkness. knowing Him alone you shall be saved from death over again.
***********************************************************

Meditation Leads to Freedom
-Excerpts from ‘Healthy Mind, Healthy Body- New Thoughts on Health’
A Vedanta Kesari Presentation (P149)
Swami Turiyananda writes about meditation as a source of freedom from the world-based emotions that hold us in bondage:
Happiness and misery alternate in this world. Have you ever seen anyone completely free from them? It is impossible; this world is made up of pairs of opposites. By meditating on the Atman one can get rid of them. This does not mean that there will be no happiness or misery, but by God’s grace they won’t be able to perturb one.
Thus, meditation is essential in overcoming the undependable nature of what the world offers and developing a more consistent and enduring sense of well-being.
People’s own experience in practicing meditation has been that it enhances sense of control and increase their enjoyment of day-to-day living. More importantly, they find slowly developing a sense of inner strength and peace that is stable. They begin to discover a place within themselves that is ever present, comforting, and renewing, despite the circumstances and continual ups and downs in their daily lives.
Meditation can be a bridge between Eastern and Western paths to well-being. It has an ancient scientific history as being the central means to well-being in the East and a more recent history of documented scientific study in the West. The current difference is that in Western science it is viewed primarily as a means to physical and mental well-being that has physically observable results. Eastern thought begins at a deeper, more subtle level of satisfaction.
From this perspective, the object of meditation is rooted in the spiritual plane. The results cannot be detected by the tools of a science based on physical observations. Indeed, we use the term ‘spiritual’ because the very thing we are describing is metaphysical rather than physical in its manifestation.
Clearly, we can find temporary pleasure in the things of the world. However, a stable sense of well-being can only be found within. Meditation is a practice that can lead to an inner sense of peace and tranquility, it costs nothing, it is portable and it is available under all conditions.
The effects of meditation on well-being have been described by Swami Lokeswarananda in ‘Practical Spirituality’:
If you practice meditation regularly and in a correct manner, you become your own master and cease to be the slave of circumstances that you are now.
Once we accept the great truth that ‘life is difficult’ and that we cannot find our happiness in the things of this world, we can transcend this predicament. The search for well-being is our human right. The secret is that the well-being we seek lies deep within ourselves. The key is to move away from external sources of happiness and toward the internal source of well-being that lies awaiting. The nature of this quest is spiritual as opposed to physical and it is a journey we must ultimately make alone.
