Ramakrishna Mission (Ceylon Branch) is a religious and charitable organization and was incorporated by a special Act of Parliament i.e. Ordinance No. 8 of 1929. It is a worldwide organization, serving in various fields of human needs – medical, educational, cultural, moral and spiritual for more than 120 years.
From time to time, disciples and Well-wishers with philanthropic minded have supported the activities of the Ramakrishna Mission, Colombo, through various forms of donation.
Ramakrishna Mission, in order to fulfil the objectives for which these donations were made, is interested to sell an immovable property to the interested and eligible person/institution.
Descriptions of the immovable property for sale are provided hereinbelow and any person/institution, after conducting due diligence and being satisfied about the same,

January 15, 1897, Friday
The ship carrying Swami Vivekananda reached Colombo.Swamiji reached Colombo around 4 o’clock in the afternoon.
A great reception was arranged by the representatives of various religious sects and social bodies at Colombo for Swami Vivekananda. Swami Niranjanananda, Mr T. G. Harrison (an English Buddhist) and three Tamil gentlemen approached the ship from shore in a steam launch to welcome Swamiji.

Swami Vivekananda stayed in a bungalow, a newly built residence of Mr Ratnasabapathy, in Cinnamon Gardens, at 96, Barnes Place, Colombo -07, was known as Vivekananda Lodge.
