RELIEF WORK  - Appeal

Project 15  Providing a Box of Essential Items to 165 families (558 persons)

Keppapulavu under Maritimepattu AGA Division in Mullaitivu District.

Dear Friends,

Subsequent to many requests received from the general  public,

 Ramakrishna Mission (Ceylon Branch) has decided to provide aid to the 165 recently resettled families in Mullaitivu.

Plan -  Stage 1 - Providing Essential items.

Providing Aid by way of food, clothing, sanitary items, medicine, etc  -    LKR .10,000/- per family.

Total minimum cost  ( US$ 80 per family )  US $ 13,200/-

The relief work is being done with the help of  local people and volunteers. 

We earnestly appeal to the generous public to help us in the Relief & Rehabilitation  work for these people to rebuild their life.

Action Taken

1.  Requested Govt Officials to provide information about the families to buy things according to            the needs of each family.  Expected to get necessary particulars within a day  (No of             family members, widows, pregnant women, children, disabled, etc)

2.  Planned to take the items to the families within 10 days. (Max 15 days)

3.  Quantity of Aid depends on the availability of Funds 

4.  After meeting the families and handing over the aid, further action will be taken,
